Sure, creating thumbnails for your videos takes a few minutes, but research shows that people (including your students) are likelier to watch the videos if they have a custom thumbnail. To streamline the process, I suggest sticking with one or two templates from Adobe Express and just changing out the text and maybe the colors each time. There is no need to start over from scratch. Keep your thumbnails consistent from one video to the next.
Adobe Express has hundreds of video thumbnail presets you can use to get started. They call them YouTube thumbnails, but they will also work for videos you post on Kaltura MediaSpace.
Making a video thumbnail is quick and straightforward using Adobe Express. Take a look at the video I have created to walk you through the steps of creating the image and uploading it to MediaSpace. Adobe Express works on a desktop browser and as an app for mobile devices. You won’t be able to access the web interface from your phone as it forces you to download the app.
